The Reverend Aubra Love
Author, educator, public theologian, and ethicist.

The Reverend Aubra Love, recently named Executive Director of Building Bridges of Asheville, has been a founding principal of several faith-based and social action organizations.
As a consultant she has done such pioneering work as the development of The Black Church and Domestic Violence Institute, a national project that trains clergy and others in the appropriate response to domestic violence. She has also consulted for Local Church Ministries of the National Office of the United Church of Christ, US Dept. of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women, The Centers for Disease Control, and the U. S. Dept. of Health and Human Services.
A retired executive with Wachovia Bank, she is the former Interim Pastor of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Asheville. Rev. Love received her BS degree from Cornell University and earned an MDiv from the Morehouse School of Religion at The Interdenominational Theological Center. She is an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ.
