Dr. Mumpower Needs a “Reality Check” Or a Series of UAs (Urine Analyses)
by Lt. Cmdr. James J. Tenant, Ret.
I was born and reared behind the “Cotton Curtain” (Calhoun Falls, SC, and Asheville, NC, respectively). I’m literally gasping for air, after reading Dr. Mumpower’s comments in the 3/12 Urban News article, Urban Renewal – Eminent Domain Progress In The Making: A Closer Look.
When I returned home to Asheville after serving in my third deployment to Vietnam, I was shell-shocked to see how my neighborhood, schools, church, etc., had been raped and razed, all in the name of “urban renewal.”
I’m appalled that Dr. Mumpower wants to blame powerless black
folks in Asheville for their persistent illicit drug and gang problems.
Will he blame us also for the Tuskegee syphilis testing, or the
experience of 125 years ago, when whites gave blacks cocaine so their
muscles wouldn’t ache while they worked? With regard to current cocaine
distribution, whites no longer give cocaine to blacks: they’ve
outsourced this task to criminal and illegal Mexicans. However, white
bankers launder the illegals’ drug funds, just as they did for
Asheville’s white moonshiners when I was a kid.
And who’s AWOL-MIA in all this? The NAACP and the Congressional
Black Caucus (CBC)! In the infancy of urban renewal in the 1960s and
1970s, there were only 12 CBC members who lacked any real political
clout to counter president Nixon’s unleashing of his urban renewal WMD.
Nixon’s “Negro Removal” point man was former Michigan Governor George
Romney, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD).
Today, there are more than 40 members in the CBC, and they’ve
sold blacks out to the criminal and illegal Mexican support mafia
(Latino politicians, Wal-Mart, LaRaza, the Mexican government, the
Pope, etc.). My knees buckled when the NAACP and CBC supported the
defunct Dream Act (yes to illegals, no to MLK).
Black politicians in all levels of government cower in fear of
political retaliation from Latinos, both legal and illegal. Can you
hear those brothers and sisters, all of ’em, humming and singing
stanzas from “We Shall Overcome?”
Illegal Latinos have increased the 400-year-long misery index,
(jobs, social justice, voting rights-nullification, etc.) that blacks
have suffered under. Like our forefathers, we are also three-fifths of
a citizen and sharecroppers, just because all politicians, on both
sides of the political aisle, are in the tank for illegals (Mexicans,
Africans, Europeans). “Comprehensive immigration reform,” in my
opinion, is nothing more or less than code for Benedict Arnolds,
Judases, and cowards.
