Learn more about Asheville’s historically Black communities.

Each year during Black History Month, Hood Huggers International offers free Black History Tours to Black youth and adults who live in Buncombe County.
Journey through significant African American sites in the downtown Asheville area, visit historic landmark arts, and learn about various neighborhoods throughout the city, including Shiloh, Burton Street, Southside, Eastend Valley Street, and more.
Tours are offered Thursday through Saturday at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 4 p.m.
