Remembering Kat Williams
Local blues singer Kat Williams passed on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
Kat Williams has left us.
A radiant soul and a true icon in Asheville’s music community, Kat brought a depth and authenticity to every song she shared. As a cherished member of Unity, she didn’t just sing… she lifted the room with her spirit, her humor, and her unmistakable presence.
Kat’s talent was immense, but what truly remains with us is the way she lived and loved – openly, generously, courageously, and joyfully. She touched lives not only with her voice but with the way she made people feel seen, loved, and lifted.
“I Fly” was the last song she performed publicly at Unity of The Blue Ridge.
