Asheville Native Has New Title!
Ashley M. White is now Dr. Ashley White, LAT, ATC.
On May 6, 2023, a PhD in Athletic Training was conferred upon Ashley M. White by Indiana State University in Terre Haute.
Two years prior, in May of 2021, Ashley graduated cum laude from Appalachian State University with a bachelors degree in Athletic Training. She then moved to Terre Haute to begin working toward her doctorate. While at ISU, Ashley worked as an athletic trainer with the Indiana State football team for two years.
“As I continue my journey with a new title of Dr. Ashley White, LAT, ATC, I hope to continue working with collegiate-level athletics,” Ashley told The Urban News. She also noted that her brother, Aydan M. White, attends NC State University, where he is majoring in Sports Management and is also a star corner-back.
Dr. White’s proud parents are Paschal “PJ” and Jasman Hart White. Her maternal grandparents are Sharon Knox Burton, Lt. Colonel (Retired) George O. Gore Sr., and Fredrick Burton, and her paternal grandparents are Olivia White Young, the late Paschal White Sr., and Claude “CY” Young.
