AKAs Celebrate Founders’ Day
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Gamma Gamma Omega Chapter celebrated their Founders’ Day February 26, 2023.

They worshiped together at Hill Street Missionary Baptist Church.
These twenty-seven women, educated, strong, and professional, entered the sanctuary wearing black attire with pink corsages. They were greeted by Rev. Brian K. Scott and then, to their surprise, by an Alpha Phi Alpha fraternal brother who had come from South Carolina for that purpose.
Following the service and Rev. Scott’s message on “Serving Sincerely,” the women adjourned to Stonebridge Tavern for a luncheon. After a welcome by Alberta Drane and invocation by Vernell Woldu, the sorors heard from Soror Verita Woods on the occasion. The celebration ended with a challenge from President Brenda Wilkerson and closing remarks by Mary Harmon.
