The Blue Ridge Pride festival is a community-created event.

The day-long experience, taking place this year on Saturday, September 24, is a product of all who come to exhibit, entertain, and participate. Come join the fun from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.! Taking place in Pack Square Park in downtown Asheville, the festival celebrates and upholds Western North Carolina’s LGBTQ+ community.

Pride was birthed in the anger of Stonewall, an outpouring of protest by a community that was tired of being marginalized, maligned, and outlawed. Over the decades, Pride has evolved into the global phenomenon it is today: a rallying point for everyone who wants to uphold and celebrate the right of individuals to live and love according to their self-determined identity.

You are also invited to participate in the Welcoming WNC Procession. This pride parade has no sponsors, fees, or expensive floats. It is a community walking together in support of a vision of a WNC that is welcoming to all.
