The Junior League of Asheville, Inc. is hosting its second annual Volunteer Expo, which will be held at the Crowne Plaza Expo Center.

Modeled after a job fair, this free event will feature more than 70 local nonprofits who are looking to fill ongoing and future volunteer needs. Nonprofits in almost every area of community concern will be present at the event: health, poverty, legal aid, environmental stewardship, women’s issues, arts, civic leadership, technology, education and animal welfare.

We hope the Volunteer Expo will help with the first step of educating oneself about volunteer opportunities available in our community, while providing direct access to representatives from the organizations. Last year the Expo was a great networking event providing an opportunity to establish relationships with passionate people looking to volunteer in our community.

Volunteer Expo takes place Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Crowne Plaza Expo Center, 1 Resort Dr., Asheville.
