Asheville Chapter of the Links, Inc. Hosts Awards and Scholarship Gala

Each year the Asheville Chapter of the Links, Incorporated hosts the Linkage and Scholarship Award Gala at which the organization recognizes community members for their humanitarian contributions and students for their academic achievements, based on five distinguishing facets of the organization.

This year’s Gala was held on Saturday, April 21, at the Renaissance Hotel in Asheville, and honored Mr. Keynon Lake for Services to Youth; Ms. LaKesha McDay for Health and Human Services; Dr. Dwight Mullen for National Trends and Services; Ms. Vandora Henderson for International Trends; and Ms. Cleaster Cotton for The Arts.

Ms. Imani Mosley, a senior at Asheville High School student and member of the National Honor Society, was the recipient of a $2,000 academic scholarship from the Links, Inc. She plans to attend North Carolina Central University as a Psychology major. Imani is the daughter of Tatiana Carter and Jermaine Mosley.
