Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Presents 2016-17 Debutantes

Beta Lambda Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. presented three young women at their 64th Debutante presentation.
The event was held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 in the Asheville Event Centre at 991 Sweeten Creek Road, in conjunction with the sorority’s Finer Womanhood program.
The young women who were presented, their school, and their parents were:
JaíEssence McEachin (1st runner-up), is a sophomore at Mount Pisgah Academy. JaíEssence is the daughter of JéWana and Marcus McEachin.
Destiney Mills (2nd runner-up) is a sophomore at A. C. Reynolds High School. Destiney is the daughter of Ms. Crystal Mills and Theodore Philson.


Madison Newborn (Debutante Queen) is a sophomore at Asheville High School. Her parents are Billy and Tania Newborn.
Proceeds from the event will be used for scholarships, contributions to community service organizations, and humanitarian projects. Sarah Hart is President; Norma Baynes and Harriet Ray were co-chairs of the Debutante presentation.
