Mrs. Eloise Piercy Celebrated 100th Birthday on April 1, 2012

Mrs. Piercy, born in Sumter, SC in 1912, celebrated her 100th birthday at the historic St. James A.M.E Church on Sunday, April 1, 2012. She has been a member of the 124-year-old St. James Church for 80 years.

Both her immediate family, church family, community members, and friends joined Mrs. Piercy for her centennial celebration. Though her husband and son did not survive to witness this milestone, her five grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great grandchildren, were all in attendance.
