From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. all rising 7th grade girls & up, and their moms or other trusted female adults are invited to AB-Tech, Ferguson Auditorium, Asheville, NC

One in four teenage girls end up with an STD. Teen girls and their moms will have an opportunity to hear the latest on such critical topics as STDs (sexually transmitted diseases), unintended pregnancy, dating violence, and healthy eating.

The event will be led by female family doctors and ob-gyns from the community and is designed especially for girls, rising 8th grade and up, and their mothers, to facilitate some difficult conversations and take the next step in empowering our teens – and their moms – with essential knowledge. The goal of the event is to arm our teens with knowledge that will empower them to make good choices.
