Improve Your Parenting Skills
Would you like to improve your skills as a parent or step-parent, or guardian? Would you enjoy the opportunity to come together with other parents within your own community and neighborhood to learn how to be a more effective parent and get the support you need?
Safe and Drug Free Schools & Communities under the sponsorship of ARP/Phoenix/Sisters of Mercy is offering a series of FREE parenting classes. These classes are aimed at helping parents address a whole host of challenging childrearing issues; including building better relationships with your kids, proven techniques for better discipline, and helping your child improve his or her school performance. The classes are open to any parent or primary childcare provider currently residing in one of the Asheville Housing Authority neighborhoods, as well as to other low-income families of Buncombe County. The classes are free. In addition, a free meal and babysitting services are also available to those attending.
Classes are conveniently located at a center near you. Classes, are taught by professionally trained, certified instructors.
