MSD Job Opening for Engineer I

Signing Bonus: $2,700. Hiring range is $68,407 (min) – $83,832 (mid). Salary will depend on qualifications and experience. The District offers a highly competitive benefits package.
Job Duties
Under general supervision, performs professional engineering duties of average difficulty in the design, construction, and inspection of municipal projects or in the planning, installation, and maintenance of equipment, facilities, or various control systems for the Metropolitan Sewerage District of Buncombe County. Reports to Director of Engineering.
Minimum Training and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering and 3 to 5 years of experience in sanitary sewer system construction and design work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
- Engineering Intern (EI) certificate is required
- Possession of a valid North Carolina driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Registration as North Carolina Professional Engineer
