Supported Employment Specialist

Full-Time/Part-Time; Buncombe and Haywood Counties

Work one-on-one with persons supported and help them attain meaningful employment in their community. In addition to job site training, the employment specialist must also conduct assessments, job development, career counseling, advocacy and other services needed to help individuals acquire and maintain employment.

Required minimum qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent, and 3+ years of experience with the population served
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and working knowledge of BEAM preferred.
• Familiarity with Vocational Rehabilitation billing requirements
• Valid NC Driver’s License, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation
• Ability to manage work in a diversified environment and busy atmosphere
• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all staff and persons supported

Experienced Community Connector

Full-Time/Part-Time

Responsible for the correct implementation of periodic services; empowering the individuals supported to build and maintain community connections; building professional relationships between our agency and the community at large.

Required minimum qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED
• Highly motivated self-starter
• Expert level organization and professionalism
• 3+ years full-time experience in a related human service field
• Valid NC driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and automobile insurance

Direct Support Professional

Salary: $11.00 – $16.00 hour

Support persons with developmental disabilities in their quest to achieve human dignity through living, working, and playing in the homes, jobs, and neighborhoods of their choice. Employees must be caring, responsible, enthusiastic professionals who support people with communication, socialization, employment, and personal care, and help them develop independent living skills.
