DHHS Building Gets a Facelift

Construction has begun on an addition to the building housing the County’s Department of Health and Human Services at 40 Coxe Avenue downtown.
The department remains open and will continue to provide services during construction, though the parking lot and front entrance, along with some services, have been relocated.
Relocation of parking and main entry at BCHHS
Parking that was in the Coxe Avenue lot is now available from 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. across the street, in the lot next to the downtown bus station. Handicapped parking spaces and a bike rack are available on Aston Street (adjacent to the building).
The new parking entrance can be accessed at the intersection of Aston Street and Coxe Avenue. The new front entrance is located in the lower level of the DHHS building, directly across from the bus station.
