Buncombe County Swears in New District Attorney

Buncombe County Attorney Todd Williams was sworn in on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 4 p.m. as the District Attorney for Buncombe County, North Carolina.
Senior Resident Superior Court Judge the Honorable Alan Z. Thornburg presided over the ceremony. The event took place in the 5th Floor Superior Court courtroom of the old historic Buncombe County Courthouse.
Todd M. Williams became Buncombe County’s first new district attorney in 24 years during the official administrative swearing-in ceremony. Williams replaces Attorney Ron Moore.
Williams said he wants to bring both change and continuity to the Office and will strive to keep Buncombe County safe through vigorous and fair enforcement of the law.
