Help Plan NC’s Transportation Future
The NC DOT is asking for input to shape our state’s transportation planning for the future. To provide comments on the 2040 Long Range Transportation Plan, go to Performance. The plan serves as a blueprint for transportation planning and investment over the next 30 years by identifying the transportation needs of the state.
In addition to highways, the plan will address aviation, ferries, rail, bicycles, pedestrian facilities and public transportation. With the expected strengthening of the federal ozone standard, emission reductions from the mobile sector will need to play a major role in air quality and transportation planning.
