The journey continues for aspiring actor Xaveria Baird, who was born and reared in the Shiloh Community of Asheville, North Carolina.

Growing up in poverty, he lived in a crowded three-bedroom home with six other family members. His childhood was marked by hardship—his mother was incarcerated multiple times, and his father was absent. Yet, despite the challenges, Xaveria found strength in the resilience of his mother, who did everything she could to provide for him, and in the love of his grandmother, Justine Baird, who helped raise him.

To cope with the chaos around him, Xaveria turned to sports. He played basketball and football throughout middle and high school, eventually earning a football scholarship to a Division II school in Virginia. Later, he played as a defensive end at Brevard College while studying early childhood education. His passion for working with children led him to teach preschoolers in Asheville for several years.

Life wasn’t easy—he struggled financially, bounced between apartments due to long waiting lists, and even faced homelessness, sleeping in his car and couch-surfing. But through grace, prayer, and perseverance, he eventually secured stable housing.

In 2016, Xaveria discovered acting. Just a year later, while grieving the loss of his mother to cancer, he landed his first speaking role on the set of MacGyver. That moment ignited a fire in him. He committed fully to his craft—losing over 150 pounds, honing his skills, and pouring everything into his artistry.

Today, Xaveria holds 10 SAG television credits, with appearances on acclaimed shows like Atlanta, P-Valley, and BMF—a cultural cornerstone in the Black community. Booking BMF took 15 auditions across four seasons, a testament to his grit and determination. Most recently, he filmed a Netflix project in Hollywood, marking another milestone in his rising career.

Now, Xaveria is focused on the next chapter: landing a lead role or becoming a series regular. His journey is far from over, and his gratitude runs deep.

“Thank you to everyone who’s supported me along the way. Your belief in me means the world, and I’ll never stop striving to make you proud,” says Xaveria.
