DJ Envy

The feud between rapper Rick Ross and The Breakfast Club’s DJ Envy reached a hostile peak recently when the two exchanged low blows on social media and on the air.

This beef stems from a dispute over their forthcoming and competing car shows. In a series of posts on Instagram Stories and Reels, Ross referred to the DJ as “DJ Envious,” “beige boy,” and “Donkey of the Day.” The rapper also dragged Envy’s family into their messy spar.

Ross disrespectfully named-dropped Envy’s wife, Gia Casey, when he posted that he had a section especially for her in his pool.

“DJ Envious, I got a job for your girlfriend,” Ross said cockily in a clip posted May 22. “It’s a one-time opportunity. Your girlfriend has the opportunity to be my pickleball paddle polisher.”

This is arguably the tamest post from the rapper.

The beef between the two seemingly kicked off when Ross said in his recent Drink Champs interview that Envy’s car-show hosting skills were “never” on his “level.”

Envy responded, accusing Ross of being unable to secure a permit to even host a car show.

File this under unmitigated audacity but Kim Kardashian is struggling with being a single mother. The 42-year-old socialite recently shared on the Jay Shetty Podcast that she’s experiencing challenges of parenting her four children by ex-husband Kanye West, saying, “It has been the most challenging thing. There are nights I cry myself to sleep. Like, holy —, this tornado in my house. Like what just happened?”

When there’s countless single mothers around, most without the access of nannies and having to work multiple jobs to survive, you can also file this under “Stop whining and get over it!”

A piece of Black Ink Crew: Chicago history is now just that … history. Ryan Henry, a tattoo artist who was a main fixture on the Chicago-based spinoff since its premiere eight years ago, has closed down the show’s signature location of 9 Mag Tattoo after almost five years in business. On May 15, Henry posted a solemn goodbye to his flagship store, where many of the star’s dramas unfolded with fellow castmates. He mentioned in the post how he acknowledges the parts he played in some of the issues detrimental to the brand, but why he’s grateful anyway.

Henry wrote the following on his Instagram account:

“Jan. 05, 2019, we opened our doors and again created history… a few weeks ago the doors to 9MAG – Lacuna are closed. Thought it would feel harder than I was scared to do it, but it’s bittersweet. I deeply THANK each and every supporter, artist, client, party goer, admin, volunteer, helper, staff, etc, for making this #9MAG what it was. What an amazing experience. In time I did what needed to be done, took the L’s on the chin, and no matter what’s said, I take All responsibility and accountability for any and everything. I’m built for it. I hear the jokes and [gossip], but I’m still #9MAG to the death. I can’t thank everyone enough for such a great experience. We still gettin’ it in so hit me up… See you all soon. thank God, thank you all.”

After the closing of his studio, Ryan is currently on a national tour filled with appearances and VIP sessions.
