MSNBC weekend host Tiffany Cross, who was known for running the popular Saturday commentary program The Cross Connection, is leaving the NBC-Universal-owned cable network.

Cross’s production staff was informed of the decision on the morning of Nov. 4, according to reports. MSNBC declined to make executives available, and Cross could not be reached for immediate comment.

MSNBC decided not to renew Cross’s contract after two years, according to reports, and severed ties with her immediately. A rotating group of anchors will lead her weekend hours until a replacement is found, and the production staff assigned to Cross’s show are believed to be likely to stay in place.

Singer Rihanna is facing backlash for her decision to cast Johnny Depp in the forthcoming Savage X Fenty Vol. 4 Fashion Show. The actor, who recently settled a high-profile legal battle with his ex-wife Amber Heard, is set to appear in the runway show when it debuts on Amazon Prime Video.

Some fans were upset with Rihanna, given that Heard accused Depp of abuse. Some took to social media to express their outrage.

“Savage x Fenty is already a flop. Adding Johnny Depp to the mix is just another example of how out of touch Rihanna actually is,” one fan tweeted.

Another fan wondered why Rihanna was so quick to drop Draya Michelle as a brand ambassador for her popular lingerie company, as she made fun of domestic violence victims, but didn’t drop Depp.

Rihanna hasn’t publicly commented about the actor’s appearance in the forthcoming show.

Former Miami Heat superstar Dwayne Wade is speaking out about the heated legal dispute between him and his ex-wife Siovaugh Funches-Wade. Recently, Wade’s ex-wife alleged in court fillings that Wade was trying to make money off their daughter Zaya’s “name and gender change.”

According to Today, on Nov. 1, Funches-Wade sent an objection to the Los Angeles County court, requesting that 15-year-old Zaya wait “until the age of majority” to make permanent changes to her identity.

Wade took to Instagram to tell his side of the legal battle. He writes, “Since this must be a new way of parenting, I guess I have to address these allegations here, which is a shame. While I’m on a life-changing trip in our motherland, Africa, I’ve received a social media post about me ‘forcing our 15-year-old child to be someone she’s not and to do something against her will.’ These are serious and harmful allegations that have hurt our children.”

Wade called his ex-wife’s allegations an unwavering attempt to drag his name through the mud.

“I’m very disappointed that she continuously finds ways of centering herself and HER needs, without regard to her children. This report came out while Zaya was in class,” he continued.

In August, Wade filed court documents to legally change Zaya’s name in effort to affirm her gender identity. Now, Funches-Wade is trying to stop the court order from taking effect. A hearing to resolve the former couple’s legal battle will be held on Dec.12.
