Young Writers Contest
Young writers under 18 years old are eligible to enter the Changing My World Essay contest, sponsored by The Writers’ Workshop. First Prize is $75; Second Prize, $50; Third Prize, $25; Ten Honorable Mentions.
Write an essay of 15 pages or less, double-spaced, about an issue that concerns you, (environmental, social, educational, etc.). Research your topic, and offer possible solutions. Include your name, address, birth date, and phone number. Enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope for the return of your entry, and a list of the winners. Entries will be critiqued by contest judges. The entry fee is $10 per essay. Entries must be postmarked by October 30, 2012.
