Upfront Management Sports Gives Hi-Five to Community

By Elena Howells

Upfront Management Sports will hold the 2006 Hi-Five Youth Basketball Camp June 12-16 at Asheville Middle School. The camp is for youth ages nine to sixteen and will last from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. every day.

According to the Upfront Management, the purpose of the camp is to help each child “achieve his or her best, in a way that is uplifting and fun.” The Hi-Five Camp will focus on developing the fundamentals of basketball knowledge, team play, and fitness. Coaches for the camp will be All-American Henry Logan, former Harlem Globetrotter Bennie Lake, and trainer Sherman Williams.

Upfront Management is dedicated to providing quality basketball training to community youth. Each year the organization offers scholarships to low-income Asheville youth. “When I told my son that he would be attending Hi-Five basketball camp for one week, well, let\’s just say he is still jumping up and down in awe,” said the mother of one scholarship winner.

The cost to attend the one-week camp is $100 and includes lunch. For more information, please contact Bennie Lake by telephone at 828-216-4601 or by email at [email protected] or visit the website at www.henryloganbasketball.com.
