Ryans To Attend Dentistry School

Lindsay Marie Ryans, a cum laude graduate of Xavier University, New Orleans, Louisiana, was recently honored by her family at Caf?© Dupri in Atlanta with a “Mardi Gras” graduation party.

           The June 24 party included beads, feathers, masks, and balloons as well as a full range of New Orleans-style cuisine.

Miss Ryans and her parents live in Atlanta, but they have deep roots in Western North Carolina, where she spent much of her childhood. Her mother, Lucy Ryans-Raoof, is a native of Murphy, North Carolina where her maternal grandparents W.T. and Grace Mauldin, reside. Her father, Freddie Ryans, is a native of Asheville. Her paternal grandparents, Lucille Ryans Weston and Willie Ryans, her aunt Barbara Ryans, and her great-aunts Frances Nelson and Louise Johnson, are also Asheville residents.

Miss Ryans earned her Bachelor of Science degree (with honors) in Biology/Pre-Med, with a minor in Chemistry. On June 28 Lindsay left Atlanta for Louisville, KY, where she will attend the University of Kentucky Louisville -School of Dentistry.
