In honor of Black History Month, the community is invited to a free tasting to celebrate Black leaders who have made a difference in Henderson County.
This event will honor, reflect, and celebrate Black leaders who have made a difference in Henderson County and highlights the Hendersonville Family YMCA’s global diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. The keynote speakers are Hendersonville natives who have been influential in promoting GDEI work.
Enjoy tasting samples from Carolina Ace BBQ, and hear from Rhonderia Waters, First Citizens Bank Assistant Vice President; Donnie Parks, retired Hendersonville Police Chief and current Chief of Staff for the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office; and Blair Craven, a Henderson County School Board Member and Senior Financial Advisor at Baird Wealth Management.
A Taste of Black Legends takes place Friday, February 21, 2025 from 12-2 p.m. at the Hendersonville Family YMCA, 810 6th Ave. West, Hendersonville, NC.
