A-B Tech Receives Bridge to Career Grant from SECU

A-B Tech was awarded an $18,000 grant from the NC SECU Foundation’s Bridge to Career Program to help offset student costs for worker training programs.

The SECU program was introduced in 2018 to help the state’s 58 community colleges remove financial barriers for students seeking to obtain state-regulated or industry-recognized credentials that can lead to sustainable wage careers within their local communities. The program provides $500 scholarships to eligible students to offset costs for career training programs such as barbering, clinical massage, truck driver training, and more.
