The Asheville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta has announced that Jordyn Singletary, a recent graduate of the School of Inquiry and Life Sciences (SILSA) at Asheville, is the sorority’s 2019 scholarship recipient.
Jordyn maintained an outstanding academic record (a 3.40 weighted GPA) while working and volunteering for charitable organizations, as well as being a leader in numerous school activities.
Jordyn is a certified CNA, captain of the Outdoor Track Team, co-captain of the Indoor Track Team, a volunteer at Manna Food Bank, a sponsor for the Sickle Cell Foundation, an assistant at the animal shelter, a Special Olympics Assistant, and a varsity cheerleader. Jordyn desires to one day be an entrepreneur and/or pursue a career in Track and Field.
Beginning this fall, Jordyn will attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
