Jacksonville, FL – Tony Hansberry appears to have a very bright future ahead of him. The fifteen-year-old has been called “the next Charles Drew” for the amazing work he’s done at such an early age.

He is a student at Jacksonville’s Carnell Cookman School of Medical Arts, the first magnet school in the country with an integrated medical curriculum.

Tony has developed a project that allowed him to reduce the time it
takes to perform hysterectomies. The young medical student’s techniques
have not yet been tried on real women, only simulated on mannequins, but
the fact that a student of such a young age could devise such an
intricate procedure is boggling the minds of doctors throughout
Jacksonville.

The procedure helped him gain the attention of medical
doctors at the University of Florida, who then invited him to
participate with them at a medical education event.

It will be interesting to follow Mr. Hansberry’s career as he continues his education and chooses his profession.
