Asheville-based Gamma Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority held its annual Senior Appreciation Day May 5 to honor high school seniors from WNC schools who have used their time wisely for the last four years and have been exemplary students. All of them plan to further their education.

President Dorothy Johnson spoke on “The Occasion,” and Brenda Wilkerson delighted the audience with a reading dedicated to parents of the students.
