Small Business Jump Start Day – April 28
An annual event in which current and potential business owners can learn more about the many resources available to small businesses in our community.

Making Your Passion Your Business: Defining Your Values
Learn how to turn your passion into your business by determining your
core values, integrating these values into your business and providing
principles for your employees to embrace.

Young Entrepreneurial Scholars (YES!) Programs
YES! is a week-long summer camp for Buncombe, Haywood, Madison, and
McDowell students. Applications are currently being accepted for both
the YES! Camp for high school students and the YES! Academy for middle
school students.
A regional week-long summer day camp for rising high school sophomores,
juniors, and seniors, and a new two-day middle school academy, are being
offered this summer at the A-B Tech Enka Site.
A-B Tech Small Business Center also offers student tours of our facility
and NC REAL Activities in the classroom. Please contact Christy Ramm at

Women’s Business Conference – May 27
Mountain BizWorks is proud to present this annual conference designed
solely for female entrepreneurs. We are inspired daily by you and it is
our honor to continue giving the business women of Western North
Carolina the tools to Dare to Succeed and Courageously Lead!
Early bird discount is $55 for the general public and $40 for Mountain
BizWorks’ Members. After May 11 the cost will be $65 for the public or
$50 for members. Registration opens April 18. The last day to register
is May 20!
