UNC Asheville Presents Aviv String Quartet

The Aviv String Quartet will take center stage at 8 pAvivQuartet.jpg.m. Wednesday, March 26, at UNC Asheville’s Lipinsky Auditorium. The performance by the award-winning group is part of the University’s year-long Cultural & Special Events Series.

Aviv String Quartet performs annually as the resident quartet at the Upper Galilee Chamber Music Festival at Kfar Blum, as well as major venues throughout Israel. These accomplished performers have made their mark at Carnegie Hall in New York, and the Library of Congress and Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

In celebration of
the 25th anniversary of UNC Asheville’s Center for Jewish Studies, a
patron’s reception will precede the concert from 6-7:30 p.m. on campus.
The reception’s guest of honor will be Ambassador Reda Mansour, Israeli
Consul General to the Southeastern United States. Patron tickets are
$50 and include the reception and reserved seating at the concert.
