Black Wall Street AVL Hosts Black History Month Awards

On February 26, 2022, the community gathered to recognize those who have made a commitment to move our culture forward.

About 150 people attended the standing-room only event. Sheneika Smith welcomed everyone to the event, Trina Gragg-Jackson led the purpose, DeWayne Barton gave the keynote, and Steveo Moore with The Broke Stove prepared an amazing dinner.

More than 80 nominations were received and 600 votes were cast.

  • Emerging Young Leader: Jasmin Rogers
