Asheville Parks & Recreation Offers Family-Friendly Fall Activities.
Fall has arrived in the mountains, and now is the most beautiful time to head outside with your family and enjoy all that our amazing parks have to offer.
In addition to all of our parks, check out these fall activities at a community center near you!
Family Fishing Fun
Thursday, October 14, 2021, 5–6:30 p.m. at Azalea Park Fishing Dock. Join us for a lesson in fishing and try to catch that big one! $3/child, no fee for adults with their children.
Outdoor Movie Night
Friday, October 15, 2021 7–9 p.m. at Burton Street. Enjoy a free movie outdoors on the Burton Street field. Movies will be announced on the Asheville Parks and Recreation Facebook page, www.facebook.com/APRCA. Refreshments will be provided.
Glamping
Saturday, October 16, 5–7 p.m. at Burton Street. This is a free skills workshop designed to offer the community a more comfortable “car camping” experience. Bring your own gear or borrow some of ours!
Burton Street Puppy Parade
Saturday, November 6, 4–6 p.m. at Burton Street. Free. Dress up your pup and enjoy dog treats, pet vendors and more. Refreshments and snacks will be provided for pups and their owners. Prizes for Best Dressed Pup will be awarded.
