Are you registered to VOTE?

One of the best ways to confirm that your registration is current is to check www.vote.org. It will take just a few minutes. Purges of voting rolls have happened all over the country. To be safe, please do not wait to check. The upcoming election is too important to sit out.

Vote Early or on Election Day, Nov. 6.

Early Voting starts on Oct. 17. Anyone not registered to vote at their current address may send in their updated voter registration form along with the absentee ballot application, but that must be done by Friday, October 12, the last day to register by mail to vote in the November 6th election this year. Go to www.buncombecounty.org for more information.

No On All Six

The NAACP encourages you to Vote No on all six misleading amendments to the NC Constitution. The descriptions of the amendments are deceptive, and legislators will have the authority to re-write the language of their choosing after the election—including specifying which forms of ID will not be acceptable.
