Shiloh Community Association Launches Fundraising to Create Playscape for Children

shiloh sealThe Shiloh Community Association (SCA) is partnering with ML4 Charlotte, a Leadership Training Team of Gratitude Training (www.gratitude.training.com), to create a natural playscape for children at the Shiloh Community Garden at 59 Hampton St. in Asheville. Their mission is to raise $20,000.

A natural playscape is an innovative type of play area that is created using natural elements such as plants, stones, logs, and rolling hills. Playscapes are designed with the intent of bringing children and people back to nature, which is essential for healthy development. Natural playscapes are one important way to promote freedom, possibility, and the creativity in our children’s play.

This natural playscape will make the garden site even more friendly and useful for children and their families. This project is consistent with the mission of both the SCA and ML4 Charlotte, which is to “create a world that is loving, abundant, compassionate, and united for all life.”
