Our nation’s children are in crisis as they experience the traumas of abuse, neglect, domestic violence, and drug abuse. Many of them experience horrors that most people cannot imagine. North Carolina is 16th in the nation for the number of children in foster care, and seven of the top 10 counties for children in care are in Western North Carolina. These are children in our own back yards who need a safe, nurturing home to go to.
The Bair Foundation is a Christian, non-profit agency that has successfully cared for and treated children, teens, and families for more than 40 years. With 37 offices in eight states, the foundation is a nationally recognized leader in the field.
Trends and needs are constantly evaluated as The Bair Foundation strives to offer more children and teens safe, secure, and nurturing living experiences that uphold Christian values and promote healing and growth. Programs and services offered include Therapeutic Foster Care, Traditional Foster Care, Medically-Needy Foster Care, and Independent Living Services.
