Small Business Resilience
Disaster Prep and Recovery Assistance

Natural disasters, economic shocks and unforeseen crises can devastate small businesses, but help is available.
SCORE, the nation’s largest network of volunteer business mentors, offers free, expert guidance and specialized resources to help small business owners prepare for potential disaster, as well as rebuild and recover when the worst happens.
SCORE mentors are here to support you through all business challenges, including those caused by natural disasters. On the Score website, www.score.org, you will find essential tools, training, and resources to help your business recover and remain strong through challenging times.
According to the US Small Business Administration, 90% of companies fail within two years of being struck by a disaster. This impact can be particularly severe in rural communities, where small businesses are often the first to offer services to support the community following a disaster, but are also most at risk in terms of the impact on their own ability to continue.
Connect with experienced business mentors who understand crisis management, financial restructuring, and local conditions. Many mentors have first-hand experience navigating disasters. Go to www.score.org/find-mentor to request a mentor for personalized guidance.
