Own a Home You Can Afford
Can I afford to remain living here or do I need to move away?

Chloe has asked herself a question a lot of folks here do—can I afford to remain living here or do I need to move away?
Born and raised in Asheville with strong family bonds, Chloe was determined to secure housing in her hometown, and today she can officially say she did that.
After completing hundreds of hours of sweat equity, Chloe purchased her beautiful, affordable home in Habitat’s Glenn Bridge neighborhood. Her home was made possible by the Legacy Builders Society, and Adopt-A-Lot sponsors Jim and Pat Morris.
Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity builds and finances 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-bedroom homes and townhomes. They are currently searching for homebuyers for their Aging in Place homes. Qualified homeowners pay an affordable monthly mortgage that is equal to or less than 30% of their gross monthly income.
Through Habitat’s Homeownership program, you will own a home you can afford and be a part of a thriving community—no down payment and no closing costs.
