Asheville Police Investigating Counterfeit Bills Case
Help identify the man that has been using counterfeit $100 bills.
The Asheville Police Department is investigating a series of incidents involving counterfeit one-hundred-dollar bills.
Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man that has been using the counterfeits.
Within the past three months, a business located on Hendersonville Road reported receiving over a dozen counterfeit $100 bills. The man recently captured by surveillance used one of the counterfeits to pay for a purchase and received legitimate bills in return.
It’s important for business owners to carefully check all bills. If you believe you have received a counterfeit bill, please contact the Asheville Police Department.
