Venture Local Fair – Growing a New Economy for all.
On Friday, September 25, 2015 the Asheville Grown Business Alliance, in partnership with the Self Help Credit Union and Eagle Market Streets Development Corporation, present 30 captivating speakers, 15 intriguing sessions, and three inspiring tours.
The Venture Local Fair Conference takes place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Catawba Brewing, 32 Banks Ave., South Slope of Downtown Asheville. $75 ticket includes a light breakfast and locally sourced lunch.
Conference topics include Democratizing Ownership, B-Corps, Guerilla Marketing, Creative Capital, Building Transparency, and Closed Loop Systems.
The conference is followed by a Street Fair, Saturday, September 26, on Buxton and Banks Ave., on the South Slope of Downtown Asheville, from noon until 6 p.m.
Makers, artists, collectors, musicians, chefs, brewers, entertainers and inventors will magically transform the streets into a bustling, family-friendly, mini-city of discovery. Free for all to attend, the fair includes 100+ vendors, local food trucks, craft beer, buskers, trapeze artists, live music, kid’s activities, French Broad Chocolate factory tours, Sow True Seed’s annual Garlic Fest, and so much more!
