Scholarships for Entrepreneurial Scholars Camps

The WNC Minority Enterprise Development Committee (MED) will offer four scholarships for minority students to attend the Small Business Center at AB Tech’s Young Entrepreneurial Scholars (YES) Camps.

The week long programs help students gain an understanding of the entrepreneurial process in a fun and interactive environment. The high school camp is July 14-18 and the middle school camp is July 21-25.

YES Camp activities are designed to help students:
•     Gain an understanding of entrepreneurship as a viable career option
•     Generate business ideas to create an atmosphere of fun, be creative
•     Meet and learn from successful entrepreneurs in the community
•     Develop leadership abilities and skills
•     Meet other students in the community and have fun

To be eligible, a student must be an ethnic minority and have transportation to and from the camp. To apply for a scholarship, please contact MED Committee Chair James Lee by email at [email protected], or phone at 407-0856 by June 15, 2014.
