May 28 – Express Foundations Express
Foundations is an accelerated and fast-paced version of the Foundations curriculum. The course covers all the same content as Foundations, but uses an integrated approach that emphasizes the cross-development of financial and marketing elements. May 30 – Management: Growing Capacity and Improving Effectiveness
This new course in our “Business Growth” series is for owners of established small businesses who want to grow their operations. The course will cover key business practices to keep operations organized and moving as business grows. Participants will learn about managing revenue growth, delivering top-tier customer service, organizing and building a committed team, and managing cash flow while improving business operations. Begins Thursday, May 30th from 2-5pm at our Asheville office, and meets weekly for 4 weeks. Course fee is $360. June 1- Build A Website For Your Business
Learn how to create and maintain your own website, and increase your business in this one-day course! Topics include basic principles of web design, finding the right web platform and features for your needs, and how to track and evaluate your website’s performance. June 6 – Do You Get What You Pay For?
A panel of experienced business owners will discuss the ins and outs of paying employees a living wage, hiring employees and maintaining good HR practices. Come ask your questions and network with other small business owners. Panelists will include: Ben Wiggins & Gordon Kear from Altamont Brewing, Matthew Parris from Roots Organic Gourmet, and Mark Hebbard from Just Economics.
