NC SpeakUp Connects Independent Business Owners Directly with Travelers & Locals
Cortina Caldwell, Founder & Managing Consultant of Visit & Venture announced the company’s launch of an online radio show entitled “NC SpeakUp”. The first live broadcast of NC SpeakUp will take place on Monday, May 6, 2013 to kick off National Travel & Tourism Week. Promotion and guest recruitment is expected to begin immediately.
The long-term show will feature highly experienced in the areas of philanthropy, entrepreneurism, art, hospitality, food, wine, tourism, entertainment, education and wellness.
The letters in SpeakUp are a representation of the unique concept which is Social, Positive, Educational, Artistic Knowledge designed to Uplift and Promote North Carolina.
Ms. Caldwell expects the new endeavor will help further the company’s mission to create thriving local economies across North Carolina and improve traveler buying confidence. In an interview discussing implications of business success Michael Houlihan, cofounder of Barefoot (Wine) Cellars, states “People want to do business with people they know.”
In addition to the first live broadcast of NC SpeakUp, the celebration for National Travel & Tourism Week is also set to include the Official Visit & Venture Launch Party in Asheville, NC.
More information is expected to be released following a committee meeting on April 18, 2013.
