Money Buddies Series for Women Offered in Asheville and Brevard

If you and a friend are ready to make a financial change, to be less worried about money, and to move towards your dreams and goals, then Money Buddies is for you. Join OnTrack Women’s Financial Empowerment Center for the upcoming Money Buddies Series, a free, six-part series that encourages women to buddy up with a friend for support and encouragement as they embark on a money mission to learn more about real-life financial management issues pertinent to women’s lives—and to work toward achieving their personal financial goals.
OnTrack Women’s Financial Empowerment Center believes that financially knowledgeable women make better decisions for themselves and their families, thus increasing their economic security and well-being. As part of this program, The Money Buddies Series encourages women to capitalize on their personal connections to strengthen their money management skills.
Participants will work together to set personal financial goals while
the classes will provide the information, tools, and support to reach
them. With the mutual support of a buddy to keep one another on track,
women can help each other in a powerful, productive way.
Classes cover fundamental financial topics including budgeting, credit, debt reduction, savings, and long-term planning.
“I
learned how to budget, avoid debt, track expenditures, and use coupons,
as well as how to manage my money. I learned to control my money
instead of it controlling me,” said a recent Money Buddies participant.
“I don’t feel scared every time I open the mailbox. I feel empowered—and
that is a gift I can never repay.”
Each class series will be held
on alternate Tuesday evenings from 5:30-7 p.m. The Asheville Series is
on Tuesdays, July 12, 26, August 9, 23, September 6 and September 20;
the Brevard Series will be held Tuesdays, July 19, August 2, 16, 30,
September 13, and September 27.
Pre-registration is required. Contact OnTrack Financial Education & Counseling at (828) 255-5166 ext. 3.
