Another new business is revitalizing Seventh Avenue in Hendersonville, N. C. Fa’Ness Boutique – Salon – Barber has been open for three weeks and is bringing continued revitalization to an up-and-coming area of town.
Shoron Collington is owner, operator, and visionary behind the new business, which features formal and casual clothing for men, women, and children, as well as black art. The wide assortment includes suits, blouses, shirts, skirts, dresses, handbags, hats, shoes, jewelry, and wigs. In addition she sells Mary Kay products, “le vive” supplementary drink for good health and vitality, and the “Body Magic Reshaping Garment,” a slimming undergarment designed to reduce a woman’s clothing by two or three dress sizes.
Shoron started Fa’Ness Boutique because she was a “shopaholic” with
far too many clothes in her home. Her husband asked her to make room in
the house, suggesting that she open a store and sell the still-new
clothing. She began the project, and whenever she encountered an
obstacle—and there were many—she prayed about it and moved forward.
As she was preparing the store for opening she kept getting
inquiries from individuals about jobs, so she decided to add a beauty
salon, barber shop, hair braiding salon, nail salon, an airbrush
artist’s studio, and an office for a promoter of rap artists. The salons
and studio add needed foot traffic to the boutique and visa versa.
There is also a resale store of new and used clothing for frugal
shoppers.
As Shoron sits in her bright and airy boutique, she smiles and
talks about how she enjoys helping other entrepreneurs get started in
business. Even in this tough economy Shoron is enthusiastic and upbeat
about her prospects for success.
The Fa’Ness Boutique – Salon – Barber is at 709 Seventh Avenue,
Hendersonville. Stop in, take a look around, and you will be sure to
find something you like!
