Cirque de la Symphonie includes acrobatics, aerial stunts, and elegant choreography set to timeless orchestral favorites performed by the full Asheville Symphony.

Cirque de la Symphonie, a breathtaking fusion of symphonic music and aerial artistry, will perform on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 7 p.m. at the ExploreAsheville.com Arena in the Harrah’s Cherokee Center–Asheville.

Conducted by Music Director Darko Butorac, this holiday concert pairs the full Asheville Symphony with world-class cirque performers in a dazzling display of acrobatics, aerial stunts, and elegant choreography set to timeless orchestral favorites.

The program will include selections such as “A Christmas Festival” and “Sleigh Ride” by Leroy Anderson; “Clair de Lune” by Debussy; “O Holy Night”; and highlights from The Nutcracker including “Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy,” “Trepak,” and “Pas de Deux.”

In a special collaboration, members of the Asheville Symphony Youth Orchestra will join the professional ensemble for select pieces, celebrating the remarkable talent of young musicians across western North Carolina.

Cirque de la Symphonie features some of the world’s most accomplished cirque artists performing alongside live orchestras around the world. The concept was first introduced in a PBS special with the Cincinnati Pops and has since captivated audiences in concert halls worldwide. Audiences can expect a visually stunning evening featuring aerial flyers, acrobats, contortionists, jugglers, dancers, and strongmen, all choreographed to the lush sounds of the Asheville Symphony.
