This New Year’s Eve the Asheville Symphony will close out 2024 with an unforgettable evening celebrating the iconic music of ABBA.

On December 31, 2024, from 8 to 10 p.m., Music Director Darko Butorac will lead the Asheville Symphony in “New Year’s Eve: Music of ABBA with Direct from Sweden,” a joyful concert to lift spirits and usher in the New Year together.

Fans can expect all the hits—“Mamma Mia,” “Waterloo,” “Fernando,” “Dancing Queen,” and more—brought to life by “Direct from Sweden,” one of the world’s premier ABBA tribute bands. Known for their authentic vocals, costumes, and energy, “Direct from Sweden” promises the closest ABBA experience possible, transporting audiences back to the 1970s. Capturing ABBA’s joyful spirit and energy, the evening will have you singing along and dancing in the aisles.

The New Year’s Eve concert, Music of ABBA with Direct from Sweden will be on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 8 p.m. at the Harrah’s Cherokee Center – Asheville’s Thomas Wolfe Auditorium.
