Lovely Asheville Fall Festival
The first annual Lovely Asheville Fall Festival (LAFF) will take place Sunday, October 9, 2022, from noon until 8 p.m. at Pack Square in downtown Asheville.
The festival, designed to promote Loving Nature, Loving Humanity, and Loving Art, is sponsored by Asheville Creative Arts, Asheville’s professional children’s theater, and by Olympia Adams and Ray Mapp of Purpose Publishing.
Attendance is free, and the organizers expect the festival to continue on the first Sunday of October every year going forward. This time of year, when hotels are fully booked with tourists visiting Asheville to celebrate the fall colors, the LAFF festival will greatly add to that excitement.
The festival offers family-friendly fun, food, entertainment, cultural activities, merchants, and speakers. Local Bands will perform R&B, pop, rock, jazz, Afro beats, reggae, and other genres. Small businesses will offer locally created foods, fashion designs, arts and crafts.
Featured bands include well-known WestSound, headliner The Hypnotic Band, and featuring the youth group (ages 7-11) The Lights Band from the LEAF arts and music program. Also performing is the popular local cover ensemble The Free Flow Band, and the all-female WTF Band.
