A Celebration of the Arts
Symphony in the Park takes place September 19, 2021.
This much-anticipated return to live performance by the Asheville Symphony will feature a music ranging from Copland, Brahms, and Gershwin to Bernstein, Rodgers & Hammerstein, and John Williams. Below is a sampling of the program, but prepare for additional surprises from Queen, Prince, and more.

- Sousa: Stars and Stripes Forever
- Gershwin: “They Can’t Take That Away From Me”
- Rogers & Hammerstein: “Some Enchanted Evening”
- McNally: “Make Them Hear You”
- Calloway: “Minnie The Moocher” (arr. Dean)
- Williams: “Throne Room” and “End Title” from Star Wars
- And … additional surprise works to be announced from the stage!
Symphony in the Park takes place Sunday, September 19 beginning at 7 p.m. in Pack Square Park in downtown Asheville. Everyone is welcome! Come to Pack Square Park early to pick out your spot, bring a picnic, and enjoy our pre-concert entertainment featuring the talented percussionists of the Asheville Symphony Youth Orchestra.
