Esperanza Spalding Presents Emily’s D+Evolution

Seven collaborative and five solo albums into her career at 31, Esperanza Spalding is a world-renowned genre-bending composer, bassist, and vocalist.
Spalding’s work, grounded in jazz traditions, has won her four Grammy awards; she has performed for the Oscars, the Nobel Prize Ceremony, at the White House, and with such stars as Prince and Herbie Hancock.
Armed with the entity of Emily flowing through her, Spalding’s live performance is an integral part of the project itself, in which she incorporates stage design, movement, and acting into her vivid musical storytelling practice.
